Enjoying art around the world...
Opening Your Eyes Underwater
CLEVELAND, OH 2024: I was delighted to host a new series of my artwork meant to capture to brevity of the slow, blurred, and restful moment we experience submerged underwater. We gathered at Heartwood coffee to share in paintings, prints, carvings, and of course, good coffee! It was a joy, after a season on traveling, to reintroduce my work to Cleveland.
Timescape
LONDON, UK 2023:
Shipping my work overseas was nerve wracking but well worth the excitement. I arrived at The Holy Art gallery in London to be greeted by a lively crowd. The artists and creatives were beyond supportive and expressive, and it made for an overall encouraging and ecstatic energy. The series showcased here were full of life and color, capturing the concept (and mirroring the moment) of transformation.
Color Exhibition
BROOKLYN, NY 2023: My first juried exhibition showcased the concept and effect of color. It was absolutely ethereal to see my work in Brooklyn, NY for the first time. Thank you to the extremely supportive BWAC, and the lovely Armando Jaramillo Garcia for the wonderful and joyous experience.
Kaleidoscope
PARIS, FR 2024: I left home with this piece in hand, as we navigated our way through cancelled flights, delays, and faith. It will serve as a constant reminder to enjoy the haze of memories while we are living them. Le Marais welcomed me with warmth, and proved to me why Paris has bred so many crucial artworks. Their keenness for creativity made for a perfect home for my piece.
Raices
BROOKLYN, NY 2023: It was a joy to see 4 especially significant works of mine curated amongst other Hispanic and Latino artistry. I am extremely thankful for the space that was made for us, and my work expressing the depths of my cultural experience. Seeing such deep rooted meaning poured into sculpture, canvas, diorama, photography and more satisfied and comforted a unique part of my heart. I feel uniquely heard and honored.
Evening of ART!
CLEVELAND, OH 2023: My dear friend and I were thrilled to join in collaboration with Solstice Roasters in Downtown Cleveland for a night of art. Hosted in the cafe after-hours, friends and strangers alike gathered on a summer night to wine, snack, and chat. Our artwork was on view and sale, and an artist conversation encapsulated the night and our mission. Sharing our process, creativity, and outlook on all things art was our way of making our abstract style relatable and accessible for first time viewers. There is often a barrier between art (especially that of the abstract) and its viewer. We were fortunate to work for a few hours at breaking that wall and allowing art to be enjoyable and accessible for those willing to slow down and try.
